Dr. Rad specializes in eye care for elderly patients with various degrees of physical or cognitive impairment. With a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by patients in assisted living communities, Dr. Rad is committed to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
She uses only the latest techniques and technologies to diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions.
All equipment is handheld and portable, so patients can be seen in their beds or wheelchairs, too.
Dr. Rad recognizes the importance of clear communication, patience, and empathy during every interaction. Additionally, our mobile eye exam is designed to gather all needed information in an objective manner, meaning the doctor does not rely on patients’ answers or require them to choose between lenses.
That’s right! No more “one or two?” choices are needed to finalize a glasses prescription!
This gentle approach is particularly effective for patients with dementia or memory impairment.
Owner/Optometrist
Dr. Aliona Radzinsky (“Dr. Rad”) is the founding doctor of Rad Mobile Eye Care, which was established in 2020, to bring comprehensive eye exams to patients who either have difficulty getting out, or just prefer to be seen in the comfort of their own home.
In 2010, after graduating cum laude from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion, she went on to attend the Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry.
Dr. Rad transitioned to owning her own practice, Rad Optometrist Care, in 2017 and proudly established her mobile branch, Rad Mobile Eye Care, in 2020. Since then, Rad Mobile Eye Care has served hundreds of patients in over 150 assisted living communities.
By bringing eye care services directly to the comfort of a patient’s own home, Dr. Rad ensures convenience and minimizes any potential stress that might arise from visiting a traditional doctor’s office.
When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Rad enjoys spending time with her family. She loves traveling, hiking, and trying delicious new restaurants.
